I finally got a new drafting table to go with my new apartment
So I guess I’m finally back in the action and going to be adding content to the Notion website faster than I thought.
Many late nights ahead though.. >_<

I’m up early in the morning sitting in front of my Cintiq trying to make something decent. I can’t. What’s going on?

I seem to have these moods that come and go more often than I’d like to happen. It seems lately that I cannot draw anything to save my life! Usually during these times, I take a break and maybe hop on the PS3 or watch tv but doing that seems to make the condition worse. Is this what people generally call ‘Artist Block.’

This has been going on for about 2 weeks now and it’s actually starting to get me very annoyed. I WANT to draw… but I DON’T want to draw at the same time.

See, I’m in the process of completing my second issue of Team Notion ‘Lions, Tigers, Bears and KING MIKE!’ but this artist block is making it hard for me to draw anything.

If you have any advice for me please share. It’ll probably help others out there who may be suffering the same fate!

In the mean time… I’m going sit down and play Final Fantasy XIII (Doh!)

The Great Nathan Drake

I drew this picture back in Jan while I was in Houston. I never actually went back to ink and color this but I may do so when I’m in the mood to. Really this was more so pencil practice since I’m tying to remove coloring from my latest Team Notion issue in order for me to be able to be done with it faster.

If anyone is practicing up on their inking skills feel free to send me an email and I will send a high res version of this illustration that they can print out and ink. I’d love to see how it comes out so that way I can also post it on the site.

I’m going to force myself to put the pencil to the paper at least once a day everyday for the rest of this year (and hopefully beyond as well!).

This is where it can get very cool for you too! Sign up to the website and post a comment once a week of your favorite character that you’d like me to draw (that way I can have ideas…and actually something to draw). Each day I’ll choose a topic and do a sketch of it. I will also post the username of the requester.
